"In an ever-growing emo scene, bands have to become more and more adaptable – twinkly guitars and lyrics about basements aren’t going to cut it anymore. It’s becoming a bloated scene, and bands have to find ways to stand out from the crowd. Pittsburgh’s Sup, Muscles? come ready to answer the question. While sticking to emo principles, their debut EP comes alongside less straightforward songwriting, dual vocals, and occasional saxophone."
- Post-Grad Music Reviews
"I don’t know why, but for me listening to their 5 song EP “More Feelings” feels like coming home. Even if I just stumbled upon the band from the Keystone State a few days ago, their sound seems to be familiar to me. Twinkly Emo parts are combined with Screamo and even hints of Jazz. The conventional instruments perfectly interact with the saxophone and the Glockenspiel while the vocals change from clean to rough, sometimes in two parts. All of this results in a sophisticated overall package."
- Form Und Leere
"None of my favorite twinkle/mathy/skramzy bands have a female vocalist, but I think that just changed. Dual vocals laced with emotion and melodic guitar licks covered in Mike Kinsella influences roped me right in. Everything flows so smoothly throughout this five song release, from the male to female vocal transitions to the introduction of saxophone in two of the tracks. Definitely check these talented musicians out!"
- Cemetery Tapes
3 years later, it's finally done. What began with Molly finger picking twinkly stuff and Jake telling her to make it mathier is now a 5 song EP. These recordings were a very DIY operation, minus some very welcome mixing and mastering help (read the credits, please!). We learned so much about music and recording and ourselves while doing this. Lots of ups and downs have propelled us to this point, and we're so happy to have never derailed. John Paul and Trevor are so fucking amazing, and they've helped us solidify something that means so much to all of us. I guess I'm rambling here, but what I really mean to say is thank you for listening, and we hope you enjoy it.
